FILTERING DISCS OPERATION DESCRIPTION

The filtration system is based on the forced passage of a liquid through polyester tissue.

During the filtration phases the impure liquid containing particles or residuals, goes through the polyester filter from the outside towards the inside depositing on the walls the solid parts, while the filtered liquid is canalized inside a drilled shaft and convoyed outside.
When the self-cleaning process or the back washing are started, the tangential flow of the liquid in filtration is diverted towards another outlet creating turbulence which remove the deposited impurities.
The specific characteristics of the tissue help in this process.
During backwashing the filtration cycle is not interrupted.

Even though completely clogged by the filtered deposits, the discs continue filtration thanks to internal draining micro canals
